I love this book! It was one of the very first books I ever checked out when I first got a library card so you know it is very special to me. Basically this story is a first-person fictional narrative of the life of John Chapman (AKA Johnny Appleseed) that is kind of read like a diary or journal written in his own words. Yes, the book is fiction, but the author does a great job at detailing what Johnny's life must have been like back in the day. I felt like I was alongside Johnny in his journey across early America planting apple trees and meeting new friends. There is adventure that will keep you turning the pages and feel-good moments that will warm your heart. It's a short book but a very good one! I often found myself shedding a fear tears near the end too. Unfortunately my local library does not carry the book anymore so I ordered it online. I can't wait to get my hands on it again!
A pretty good read. Certainly learn a lot about Johnny which is interesting. But it was bit too churchy.
Its a good series tells the the story of the person in an interesting way from a christian perspective
