My 8 year old loves minecraft and math. Strange because math is my mortal enemy. This coloring book is perfect for him though. He gets bored with regular coloring books but this one is stimulating and really fun for him.
My 11 year old son is enjoying this (and so am I). Who wouldn't like coloring a picture called "Chicken Jockey". What a fun way to review simple math facts and color at the same time. I think it would be great to use as a "I'm done" activity in a classroom.
I am a 3rd/4th grade teacher. I was looking for something fun for my students to do when they finished an assignment, or as a fun warm-up for these last few weeks of school. This book is perfect because it has practice for basic skills (subtraction, addition, multiplication, and division), and the kids enjoy it because they get to color, and see their favorite Minecraft characters. A lot of my students chose to keep working on these during their free time. The only drawback is that the numbers are pretty small, but that didn't bother my students at all! I will be making copies for my own kids to do at home.

Who would have thought someone could design something that you and your child could agree is fantastic?I got this to put in my 8 year old's Easter basket. The look on her face when she saw it was worth it alone! Fortunately my daughter isn't just a huge fan of minecraft but she LOVES math as well! I think any minecraft lover would be just as enthralled with this as well.Not only am I bursting with pride as I watch my child complete pages of this unique coloring book but she is just as proud of her work! this is truly a one of a kind present for your little gamer. I cannot wait to surprise her with a different one once this one is completed!
It's a lot of math in a lot of small boxes. I didn't realize this and may be a bit much for us. My son is only 6, so will need to hold onto this. However, looking at all the little boxes with math problems (albeit basic math), I'm not too excited about it either!
My son's complained that the coloring wasn't always right so they did what they wanted instead of what the numbers tell them to do. The pictures are a little big so my two boys ended up coloring as they knew it should be instead of looking for each equation. I had to watch over them and engage them in more than just coloring so they would see the connections between the various math equations.
My 8 year old loves this!!! There are a lot of squares to color though, so when he gets tired of coloring, he does the math and I color the squares. The math goes from basic addition/subtraction (through 20) and a few multiplication and division pages too (which we haven't done yet). So I think it's good from first grade through fourth graders.
Purchased this for my seven year old son on his birthday. He was thrilled to do math homework for a change! It definitely helps make math more enjoyable when he can relate it to something he loves!
