These are better than the other Barbie books out there because there are fewer words. The other books out there can be torture to read bc there are so many words and the stories never seem to end. These are refreshing and tolerable, with great illustrations, and they help my daughter focus on word recognition.
I know this is a very simple book meant for learning readers and I got it as a companion gift to go with the gymnastics Barbie my daughter asked for as a birthday gift, but if you are looking for an enriching story, keep looking. There are a lot of lessons gymnastics can teach us, but it's okay that this book only mentions teamwork because it's meant to be an easy reader. What most disappoints me is that while Barbie does have one teammate of color, she is one of the two out of six characters not given a name. This book was copyrighted in 2014. Perhaps the author didn't hear about the 2012 Olympics.
My daughter loves this book! Because she is so interested in gymnastics, this helps keep her focused enough to actually practice her reading. The imagery is good and the story is easy to follow. It would make a good gift for a young, budding gymnast.
This book got my child, frustrated with reading, excited to read. She is a gymnast and enjoyed reading about Barbie as a gymnast.
Wish there were more wording to read the story is very very short
My daughter loves this book. She still needs quite a bit of help with her words but the Barbie gymnastics theme is keeping her motivated!
Great gift for my granddaughter she loved it for her birthday! Much easier than going to the store.
I gave this as a birthday present for a six year old girl, who is a gymnast . She loved it!
