I thought this book would be boring because I am not generally interested in archetecture, but it wasn't. I found myself being absorbed and actually learning about a topic that I didn't know much about. I highly recommend this book and will share it with my students.

Highly enjoyed the book, and think it is a shame it is out of print and only available on a used book basis. I am using this book in the capacity of an English teacher to show kids the purposes of sidebars, etc., in writing. The book is published in Canada and does seem to have a small anti-USA bias, and I am also using it as a sample of objectivity vs subjectivity.

This book belongs on your bookshelf. It is interesting to read the science and history behind technological innovations -- and it places these landmarks within their historical context. Written for grade school students, the photographs, illustrations, and projects make this book an excellent resource for anyone. This book is a keeper.

A marvelous nonfiction book about amazing engineering achievements -- and failures. It includes design features of bridges, buildings, space ships, and more. Includes photos, drawings, and projects to try at home. A great book for budding engineers of all ages! Highly recommended.

Great book, interesting facts about engineering in history. Used in a classroom setting for STEM .
