My oldest baby loves this little book, and it has helped us to establish a good naptime routine. When I get this book out (and another I use as well), it's known that it's time to settle in for a nap. It's a good quick read for little kids, but I wouldn't use it for a child older than 2 or 3 y/o. The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is that it's a little hokey in the words. Super simple rhyming which is great for kids but so basic that when I read it I was kind of disappointed. However, if my little one likes it and it helps to get settled for naptime then I love it, lol!
I bought this book at a small bookstore this summer in a small town on Lake Michigan in northern Michigan. I have a 2 year old daughter and we've made a routine of reading Nap-A-Roo before nap time everyday. She loves the book so much she says Nap-A-Roo as we go up the stairs for her nap! Its illustrations are great and the my daughter loves the rhyming. I don't know what it is about this book but she just loves it so much! I bought this book because I love supporting self published authors but I never imagined my daughter would take to it so much. its by far her favorite book. A must buy!
My 3 year old really liked this book. It is colorful and engaging to kids. I really love the illustrations (as an artist) and the kangaroo character is adorable. I would recommend this book to those with children.Joe
Our family has purchased this colorful board book many times--it is our go-to gift for new babies. Our own three kids love the sweet, simple rhyming story. They can even recite it by heart! The artwork is also worthy of praise. We especially love that one of the little zoo animals wears eyeglasses. You can't go wrong with this fun book--it is just the right length for restless little ones.
What a great book! My kids love too listen to me read and now they can read along with this brilliantly put together rhyming scheme. My kids love books they can read along with and this one allows them to do exactly that. When you hear the word "Again" you know the book is a winner. I highly recommend this book!
I am a Dad of four boys (ages 6,4,2,7 weeks). Nap-A-Roo is the perfect short board book to read before nap time. We all read to our kids during our evening routine to help them wind down before bedtime. Nap-A-Roo is an excellent routine to have to help your child wind down before nap time. The pictures are bright and colorful and the text is catchy and creative. Our kids love it because they have the book memorized and they have fun reading with me. Our 6 year old is really interested in learning to read and Nap-A-Roo boosts his confidence and encourages him to learn to read other books as well. It is a great way to get a short story in and bond with your child mid day.
We love this book! My daughter consistently asks to read Nap-A-Roo before bedtime and nap time. It's also the perfect length that fits in well with our nap and bedtime routine. Super cute, well written and illustrated. I would definitely recommend!
This was such a fun book for my daughter who loves to read. She really enjoyed colorful characters and the rhymes. She is obsessed with animals right now so this was a fun way to talk to her about the importance of naps in an entertaining way. Easy to read and as a new mom, shorter books at bedtime are golden!
