This was the first book I learned to read. The words are very easy and not long. Morris will keep you reading to find out what is going to happen next. I totally recommend this book for younger kids and I also recommend it to be one of the first books kids read.

My daughter struggles with reading ... to the point she refuses and HATES to read! I found her a copy of this book at the library and read it to her. I explained to her that it was Mommy's favorite book... I am not sure if it was because it was Mommy's favorite book or because it is such a cute book, but she is now hooked on Morris books. I sure hope I can find all of them! I would like to think Mommy has something to do with her liking the books, but I am pretty sure it is the author Mr. Wiseman. Children have loved his books for years and still to this day do. There is just something about this silly Moos Morris that you can not help, but love. And when his side kick Borris is around it gets even better. Don't miss out on these books. This book was purchased at full price and was not part of a review or promotion. I in no way no the author or have a relationship with him ... I simply want to collect all the books for my daughter. is the only place I can find to do so!

I remember reading this book when I was a child and loved it! My son is in 1st grade and is a little slow at reading. He could read this book and he loved it. It is not too long for him to read so he doesn't lose interest. We think Morris the Moose is fun and entertaining!

If your children are beginning to read, this story of Morris the Moose will be a great addition to their reading library. The words and cadence of speech are easy for a new reader to grasp. Morris is charming in a nerdy sort of way. There are little humorous scenarios that will keep a child interested in Morris's journey to find another moose.

Morris meets a cow and a deer and tells them that they are a moose just like him. Of course the cow insists she is a cow, and now the deer tells Morris he is a deer. Oh my! You have to keep reading to find out who wins this arguement. This is an adorable book and one that is easy for children to read or would be enjoyable to have read to them. Cute illustrations are well.Shirley Johnson

Such a humorous book, and my 6 year old enjoyed listening to it (before he could read) and is now reading it. Very fun. The author used repetitive words that makes it easy for early readers/learners but it is not boring at all because of the fun storyline.

My daughter loves this book. Since before she was a year old she would select this book out of a pile to have it read to her. She will run around the house hunting this book and then want it read over and over.

This book is probably my favorite children's book. My husband adds fun accents to each character and my son loves it!
