This is a wonderful interactive book that follows the growing cycle of a pear tree through the seasons. You'll find 25 flaps that hide a whole range of insects, plants and creatures that live within the pear tree's environment. Enjoy opening the flaps and identifying what you find with your child but beware, the flaps will rip easily so be careful. Also the flaps blend in so well with the art on each page you may have to run your fingers across the pages to find them.Enjoy this charming novelty book with its rhymed text. You and your child or grandchild will have fun following the changes in the seasons as the little pear tree goes from a seedling to a full grown, mature tree. Although this book is recommended for youngsters two years of age and older I'd wait until the little fingers can easily manage the flaps without ripping them.Book provided by publisher.

A beautifully crafted book. My one year old loves peeking behind the flaps, even if we don't stay on a page long enough to read every line or examine every picture. I particularly like that the flaps are glued on top of the pages rather than being cutouts IN the page - it's much easier for little fingers that are still learning to grasp.

Kids like to rip the flaps out, but it is very beautiful! The only complaint I have is that the text on the last page is really hard to read because it's so small and it's dark text on a dark background. Makes it difficult to read as a bedtime book!

Gorgeous book and a lovely, poetic introduction to the seasons for any child. I just wish that the flaps were a bit more durable- my one year old has already torn almost every one off!

Nice book to add to our collection, bought this for my 3 yr old. He wasn't too interested but the illustrations are lovely. The flaps are fun but aren't too sturdy.

The tabs come off WAY too easily. My 18-month old has torn several off over the course of maybe half a dozen readings. It's a pretty book but really needs to be more durable.
