Having read all the books out there about Julia I must say I enjoyed this version as a fairly quick and very enjoyable read. It is definitely a book for all ages. Oh, did I mention? The illustrations are marvelous.

I enjoyed reading this book. Years ago my brother worked on public tv and got to meet Julia Child and was so impressed. I have always been interested in her since then. This is a good way to present her to young folks.

I buy this book to give it to my clients most especially those with pre-teen or teenage daughters. It makes me look really good as this will be a heirloom for their subsequent generations. The authors really hit a home run on this book. Forget about Hilary Clinton as a role model for young girls; Julia is a true role model, overcoming her early gawky height, and becoming an athlete, a world class cook, and, even a spy for the good guys. It is Interestingly readable for adults, too. Sure to be a bestseller like Edgers' "The Beatles"was. Here's hoping Carlene Hempel will team with her husband,Geoff Edgers, on another book soon.

These are such great books. Although my kids are higher level readers, they still very much enjoy these books.

I love these books. I assign a biography project for my 3rd graders every year and I always pick up these books for them!
