I bought this book for my 4 yr. old granddaughter because she loves doing mazes. This book was so simple that she had it done in 15 minutes. This was not challenging enough for her. Also, there were not enough pages (32) for the money.
Kids love doing mazes. But for little kids who have not yet mastered writing, mazes offer a special benefit: they help develop fine motor skills that are so necessary for being able to write, and they do it in a fun, non-threatening manner.This book has whimsically illustrated mazes of different types (block, wavy, circular, and more). The 32 mazes will challenge and amuse young preschoolers -- while inspiring them to use that pencil!
This is a great starter book for mazes. They are simple and quick for a toddler to do. If your toddler has skills beyond beginning mazes, move along to another book.
This was purchased for my 3 1/2 year old. She loves doing her mazes! The mazes start out easy and gradually get harder. There are not many pages in this book, 32 pages, but for under 3 bucks its hardly matters. Mazes are a great way to start working those fine motor skills, so she can become better at writing, and have fun in conjunction.
My toddler kids and my babysitting kids enjoy this book very much. We even laminated each page so it would last longer and all of them get to learn.
I have a 5 year old delayed about 6mn., good starter. I know some say it is too easy, yes if your child gets board then it is too easy and you should find a more challenging age maze level of books, first you build confidence in a child i.e. too easy, then you advance to challenging, yet not frustrating, tons of fun, I would rather start too easy, then go from there, love all these books these have been a great help to find out where my child is advanced, and where my child needs further help and instructions from mom and dad. I like the $2.99 price tag also makes it affordable to buy many activity books, great summer fun, and getting ready for pre-K starters such as all books from this brand
Another great learning book from the great Get Ready Books. This is one of the better ones, but I can highly recommend every book in their series for young children. But every child should have at least one early maze book and this is perfect. Just wish it had more pages. For several children - just photocopy pages so they can all use it!
These are super easy mazes that are perfect for little ones who are learning pencil control but not quite ready for (or not interested in) tracing letters. I would say they are appropriate for 3 or 4 year olds.
