Awesome book that makes connections through the 2 trilogies - my kids (esp my 5 yr old) enjoy reading it over and over again.one caveat though - the part when Darth Vader's mask was removed was kinda scarry for my boys so we put a post-it on it

I have 5 of these Star Wars DK Readers at Level 1 that I read for my 2 year old son. He loves them all, and this one is no exception. It profiles characters such as R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Ewoks, etc. and talks briefly about what they did to help defeat the Empire and save the galaxy. At the end the question is asked, "Who do you think saved the galaxy?" Very fun to introduce your child to various Star Wars characters as well as a little of the background of the story. Great price and a durable book although it is paperback.

I bought this for my nephew who just loves Star Wars. He listens to it over and over. Plus whenhe isn't near the cd player he enjoys just reading the book. So it is alearning tool at the same time.

~borrowed from the LibraryWHO SAVED THE GALAXY is at the beginning 4th Grade reading level. The book has 491 words in a font that is, in my opinion, too large for 4th Graders. All the favorite good guys are covered in the book. Young Anakin, older Anakin. Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, CPO.... That's about all you've got here are brief summaries with pictures from the movies.I've read quite a few of these little books and this material is covered dozens of other places. Which isn't to say that kids won't pick this book up and read it; only that it's mediocre, at best.I would recommend this book for young readers who are reading way above their age level. For them the material might be fresh.

Do not be fooled by the cover, this book has story lines from both the original AND prequel trilogies. Why would they design a cover like this if it covers more than one trilogy?

Really great if your kid intimately knows the story of Star Wars but otherwise some of the words were a little on the larger side.

My 6 year old is starting to read and starting to love Star Wars. He loved it, and it isn't painful for me to read to him either.

Ok, on what planet is "creature" and "empirial" level one words? Those aren't the only rediculous words for a 6 year old, either. Luckily, my son is a giant Star Wars fan and hasn't been rattled by these words. Just know that you'll be reading this to them for a while.
