As a drama teacher I love that this is still set up as the book, but then split up into mini plays. This is perfect for scene work or camps,
I read The BFG many years back to several grandchildren and they still talk about it at family gatherings and have made certain to purchase it for their children. Such fun pronouncing words as the BFG did and all because he had no Mom. A fun and memory provoking book.
I love the book. I am a 3rd grader, and I laughed at all the very funny words the BFG came up with. We first read the book at school, and I loved it so much I just had to have it at home. My mom and dad laughed also - what a great book!
The BFGThis is probably one of the best Roald Dahl's books I have ever read because it has action, it's funny, it has adventure and I like all those things in a book. This book is scrumdiddlyumtious to the extreme and I like that type of books. I really like Roald Dahl's books. The best and funnier character was the BFG. He was a giant but comparing to the human eating giants he was the smallest. He had really bad English, "I is not eating human beans," said the BFG. He was really fast and his hobby was to blow nice and charming dreams into kids. He really wanted an elephant.I really liked the BFG because it was funny, "By gumfrog!" he cried."I is just having the most whoppsywhiffling idea!" It has extremely exaggerated characters and settings like 10 feet human eating giants and giant countries and it has a really cool ending.
My grandchildren are very creative and are always looking for something new. This book was great for them to play with
Nice for multi-age group of 3rd-5th
LOVE this collection! I am using these short plays for a children's acting camp I am teaching this summer and it has been a HUGE time saver!
Great script with great ideas for a stage production.
