I just received Journey to Guitarland and read it to my students at school. Being a guitarist and a music teacher, I am so excited to have such a unique book for my classroom library. The kids were highly entertained by the book, and were so excited about the guitar that they continued to ask questions and make observations about my guitar long after we finished the book.I am grateful to the author for reaching out to young children and introducing them to such a wonderful and popular instrument. As a music teacher, I appreciate the way the author mentions multiple styles of music throughout the book, and the illustrations portray an array of electric and acoustic guitars as well. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series and continuing to "Journey to Guitarland" with my students!L. Bell
We just got our copy of Journey to Guitarland. It is a fun read for budding musicians. The narrative moves quickly through fun facts and personalized the instrument. The illustrations are beautiful and reminiscent of the psychedelic age. Worth a gander, for sure!
