This is a terrific first connect-the-dot book for young children, and a great value. Thirty illustrations increase in complexity from 7 dots all the way up to twenty, as little ones draw a boat, star, dinosaur, train, etc. Pictures are suitable for coloring afterward.

I gave this book to my three year old son, and he had a blast connecting the dots and coloring the pictures. He could count to ten prior to working in this book, but he often became confused when saying the larger numbers. This book helped him to count from 1 - 20 with consistent accuracy. In this book, you begin connecting the dots from 1 to 7 and gradually progress up to counting from 1 to 20. None of the pages are too busy, and it is fun to solve the riddle at the bottom of each page to figure out the missing picture prior to connecting the dots.Highly recommended to those working with children who are learning to count from 1 - 20.

I bought this book because I only needed something cheap to qualify for super saver shipping. My daughter is 2 and a half, and this book has become a favorite of hers! The puzzles are simple, and very rewarding. She gets so excited after she completes a picture and identifies it. Before dot-to-dot books, she'd only scribble circles and blobs. Because of books like this, she quickly developed better fine-motor skills, concentration, and draws straight lines! (I recommend using a crayon, since the pages are thin.)

My 4-year-old is just starting to do dot-to-dots, and some of the books I've gotten for him are a little beyond his motor skills at this point (even though he knows how to count to 100 or beyond). But this one has nice, big pictures and dots, and is just the right level for him. I'm very pleased with it.

This was the first dot-to-dot book for my 3.5-year-old daughter, and it was just the right level. It took her a while to get the hang of it, even though she knows her number up to 10 pretty well (after that... well, not so much). Anything more than just a few dots for starters would've been intemidating, but here with a little help from me and her older brother she figured out what she needs to do - and off we went to the next level of books from Activity Zone and School Zone. I'm very glad I got this book for her!

This is a good starter dot-to-dot for children. There are easier ones and more difficult ones. I'd say age 4 is a great starter age for this book

I purchased this book for my three year old and she loves it. We are working on what the numbers beyond 12 look like and this book gradually works up to 20. The pictures are very simple and she enjoys coloring them after completing the dot-to-dot. I would definitely recommend this book as a way of introducing your toddler to the world of dot-to-dots.

I bought this book for my daughter who is five years old and just starting to be interested in these activities and she loved it. She finished it in two days and that is the only negative comment I have, since she was left wanting more!
