We have a pretty decent collection of the Little Golden superhero books. This one is easy to read and keeps my kids interested. It is frustrating to have these type of team books consistently leave out the female members. Both the Marvel Avengers books and the DC Super Friends/ Justice League books do it. There is one Little Golden book featuring Batgirl and Wonder Woman but that's not a great average. I can't see any reason for not including Black Widow or one of the other many female members of the Avengers in this book and on the cover.
I like the content of the book although these typse of books are not for young children to read by themselves. they are definitely books that need to be read and explained by an adult and also the binding is not good. they start to rip and fall apart rather quickly.
This is my 3 year-olds favorite Superhero book. After the success I had with the Spiderman book, I got him this one along with Captain America. This one we have read the most and my little boy almost has it memorized.
How could you go wrong with a Little Golden Book - especially one about the Avengers? I read a Little Golden Book to my baby every night and I know he'll love the Marvel ones when he's old enough to read.
I loved Little Golden Books growing up. I was very excited to learn they have a Marvel line! Book is as great as I expected it to be. My three year old loves is!
This book was from Santa for my 4 year old son. He loves it and looks at it often. The story is well written as well. No complaints!
It's good to see that Golden Books has adapted its product line to include the Super Heroes. Hulk definitely rules!
I purchased this for my 3 1/2 year old and it has quickly become one of his favorites. It's a brief introduction to the Avengers and their super powers. You also are introduced to a few "bad guys." I love that their are no guns or weapons shown in the book, so it's suitable for young children. Wonderful full page images keep my little guys attention very well!
