My daughter LOVES Wonder Woman, so when I saw this book with her on the cover, even a mention in the description, I thought there might be at least one story featuring her.Wrong.She gets one little blurb at the beginning, an honorable mention in one of the group stories, and that's about it. Even freaking Robin gets more mentions than Wonder Woman, and she could snap him in half like a twig. Not that I'm advocating powerful ian princesses murdering the emotionally stunted sidekicks of even more emotionally stunted superheroes (granted, that would probably get her more screen time. Just throwing it out there).In fact, if you're looking for any of the female DC heroes, don't get your hopes up. It's like Where's Waldo of the 5 Minute Story books. You're sailing along, not really paying attention, when something catches your eye. You think, "Hey, is that three quarters of Batgirl's boot by Batman's gloriously flowing cape? Boom! A point for me!"Full disclosure: I had to give that point back, as it turned out to be one of Gorilla Grodd's bananas. Long story. I mean, not a really long story, as they're all 5 minute stories, but you know what I mean.I gave it three stars, as the book did have some good writing for kids, and my daughter does like male superheroes, too. Quite frankly, if you're a dad from 1955 you'll probably think it's the bee's knees. But I'm a dad from 2016, so I just couldn't go higher rating due to the book having no balance.If you want to release a book with 99% male superheroes, knock yourself out (I can always rely on DC Super Hero Girls, after all). Just don't make it seem like you're throwing in a good mix of males and females when you're clearly not even trying.
