I am just loving this series. If you are a fan of Pokemon and/or manga, this is a great series to get into. Also, they are pretty cheap. No more than a pack of cigarettes! Well worth it. These stories do not follow the anime or any of the characters in it like Ash and company. These characters are based directly out of the X and Y video games. It's recommended you play one of those and beat it, so you'll have a general idea of Kalos and the characters in this series. However, these books would still serve as a great introduction to the epic world of X and Y. Enjoy!
These books are in Japanese format meaning that they are backwards. Reading from back page first. Right side then left.There isn't a single picture that shows this nor is there anywhere in the description that says this. I would not have bought these for my kids had I known they were this way. It says they are "English" but aren't in standard English format.I would rate higher if there was any indication that they were in this format.
