I ordered this book for my literacy based preschool. I am a reading teacher and this book works for my beginning readers who have established some basic sight words and have very good concepts about print.
Good writer, and the way she makes the dog, the star of the show. Good for getting kids interested in books. Reminds me of the Dick and Jane books. Sent them to nieces/nephews kids. They love them.
As a Christmas stocking stuffer idea for beginning readers, we highly recommend this winter installment of Charlie the Ranch Dog discovering the wonders of snow and even his inner hero.This is a terrific treat for youngsters and basset hound fans alike.Rating: 10/10.
My kids won't set the book down. I have always liked all of Ree Drummond blogs and books so this book was a must get item for my reading books collections. Charlie is a lazy dog that loves bacon and she puts a sense of humor in these stories. Short sentences for easy reading child can feel very successful quickly by reading page after page easily.
All of these Charlie the Dog books are cute and kids will love them. Having Prime sure does help with my budget as I don't have to pay for shipping and can order lots of books for the grand kids! These particular books provide showing how helping others is the thing to do!
The story is very simple and easy to read for beginner readers. I bought this as a Christmas gift for a boy who loves dogs and snow. It was a simple reading book and the colorful pages draws the child into the story even more. He laughed at the story and really liked it very much. I would recommend this story for every child who is beginning to learn to read.
Another winner from Ree Drummond. I hope she keeps writing these children's books for I enjoy them just as much as my grandchild. Charlie is such an incorrigible dog and leads us on some rousing adventures. A must read for little ones. Highly recommend.
I really enjoy this series. There are many valuable lessons in this series. I really enjoy the great art work and attention to detail in the book. The reading level is relatively easy and the story lines are interesting. I enjoy reading the stories to my niece and enjoy listening to my young niece read it to me.
