My 2 year old granddaughter has lots of books but she tends to tear them. I have found that the binding on the Little Golden Books holds up really well. In addition, she likes this book because I sing the story to her.
Beware! If you buy this book for your toddler you will have to read it (or better yet, sing it) a dozen times a day. And let's face it - Old MacDonald is short on plot. However, the pictures in this version are incredibly cute with lots and lots of funny details. The pictures even tell a simple story, with the happy singing animals gradually taking over Farmer McDonald's house. My 18-month-old granddaughter just can't get enough of it. The construction of the Little Golden Books is so simple and sturdy that she can also "read" it to herself, and so far hasn't torn a page. But what she really wants is for someone to spend all day reading it to her.
Cute little book full of farm animals that will make any child (and adult) giggle. The words and even the musical notes on included on the back of the book. The animals are so cute and the farmer too. Will not fail to make you laugh.

I started reading The Little Golden books to my daughter 37 years ago, when she was one year old; by two and a half, she was starting to read. I decided to start reading them to my one year old grandson and it is most definitely starting to pay off. The Little Golden books, particularly the older ones, offer a young child with wonderful stories and beautiful illustrations. Please keep them available.
Great book...my son had this book growing up...and now I purchased one for my Great grandson. He loves it, and after a few reads he can nearly recite the whole book....fun time with Nana...making memories
To be honest I don't remember even ordering this book. But it was around the time I ordered a lot of things for the holidays. I can honestly say though I never received this book. I would have been mad if I had remembered I was waiting for it.
My grandson wanted this book and I couldn't find it locally. I love the pictures and enjoyed the book. Little Golden Books brought back memories when my children were young. The book came quickly and was in great condition. Mailing the book today!
