I reviewed several methods before I decided on this one. I have tried to teach 5 year olds in the past with varying success with Bastiens Piano Party. I found that that series can be overwhelming for some students. This one has theory included so it is a workbook as well as a songbook. The thing I like about it most is that the pages are not cluttered and it is just one book, not three. Too much on a page can be highly distracting and this one is cleanly organized. Coupled with my own games, this one has been very enjoyable so far with my new five year old student. She is enjoying the lessons and her mom is satisfied as well!
