This was a favorite of my daughter when she was early grade school. I showed it to my granddaughter, age 4 and she was fascinated with the wonderful illustrations! As a "remembrance" for my daughter, I got her a copy for Christmas and both she and the granddaughter sat down to look at it together.
My sisters and I had been looking for this book for years but couldn't find it. It had been our favorite book when we were children but we couldn't remember the name or author. I knew that if I ever saw the book, that I would remember it...and I did. I ordered this book for my sisters and I and let me just say that it is EXACTLY as I remember. The illustrations are just beautiful and I think this is a wonderful book for any child to have. I just had my first child and I am soooooo happy that he can now have the same book that I fell in love with as a child. I recommend this to anyone who can appreciate the beautiful and fun art.
This book is a visual treat for young eyes. Each of my three sons could sit and listen to me read as we talked about the funny pictures and silly antics going on. Highly recommend for imaginative parents that want to stimulate a child's imagination!

My almost 4 year old daughter enjoys this book at bedtime. There are lots of interesting things to look at and something different will catch her eye each time. In the back there are suggestions of things to look for in the book, but we haven't tried that yet.

Gorgeous artwork. This is the book I recall going to the library and hunting for every trip. I have not read it to a child yet who hasn't been fascinated by it.
A classic; I read it as a kid and adored the illustrations. Now, I read it to my baby brother and he loves it, too. Came in great condition.
