My two year-old daughter was having trouble giving up the bottle completely. She used sippy cups most of the time, but needed the bottle at bedtime. This book helped her see a cute animal choosing to give up her bottle in favor of a big kids cup. It worked. We really enjoy this whole series of books. "Little Bear Says Thank You" is our favorite.
Very cute book to introduce the idea of weaning to a toddler in a gentle way that encourages them to give up the bottle instead of going cold turkey. The art is lovely and I love that little Zebra is the one deciding to give up the bottle and it is not forced on him by his mom.
Great book! I let my lovely daughter drink her bottle at naptime and bedtime for WAY too long. Bad Mama! She was able to, after multiple readings, identify with the big kid zebra and gave up her bottle! Not too many tears! Thank you so much!!
Read it to my daughter several times the first day we got it and actually got her to go to bed without a bottle for the first time ever! She's 22 months and was way too attached to her baba. :-)
