Fractions In Disguise: A Math Adventure (Charlesbridge Math Adventures (Hardcover))
Read Free Books and Download eBooks

When a valuable fraction goes missing, George Cornelius Factor (a.k.a. GCF) vows to track it down. Knowing that the villainous Dr. Brok likes to disguise his ill-begotten fractions, GCF invents a Reducer—a tool that strips away the disguise, reducing the fraction and revealing its true form. Equal parts of action and humor add up to a wholly entertaining introduction to simplifying fractions.

If I had a book like this fifty years ago I wouldn't be the math basket case I am today. Get this book into the hands of any child before his/her teacher starts in on explaining fractions and the child will have a head start and feel comfortable with dealing with these pesky numbers. I've been told math can be fun but I didn't believe that until now. Buy this book for your child or grandchild. This one goes into the "save until she's older" box for my granddaughter. Lucky you Brynn!Book provided by publisher.

I bought this book to read to my students during our fraction unit. I ended up reading it several times. The kids really enjoyed this book, and asked for it to be read over and over again. I have recommended this book to several other teachers at my school!

We loved it. Great for a homeschooling 4th grader!

Fun and entertaining book that introduces fractions, mixed numbers, improper fractions, etc. I usually read it as part of kicking off my fractions unit.
