This book was beautiful. As a student teacher I needed this book for a unit on westward expansion. It came in on time and was a great resource to have. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to learn more about Westward expansion on an elementary school level.
The different outcomes are a bit sophisticated, but very important. I would hope an adult would read and discuss this book with the young reader.
It answers lots of questions my second graders had about the westward expansion. Great pictures!
Far too expnsive for such a thin and small book
i HAVE not read or looked at all of my purchases. However, Living in a covered wagon, Westward Expansion, The Oregon Trail were all disappointments. I think, who has never been on those trips , could write a much better story, books, Just from research and traveling those trips on my car.
