My friend has these for her 3 year old and has been using them for quite a while and she loves and swears by them. Therefore, I jumped on on my cell phone at my friend's house to get these for my 2 year old. Kids have to know so much information before kindergarten to even enter school which is ridiculous but it is what it is. These came to me super fast in the mail and was well packed to prevent damage. They were a great price as well and worth the money. They come in a cute box with a cute cloth handle and a plastic snap to keep the box closed. When you first look at the cards, for example, I chose T and on the front it has a capital and lower case T. (Tt) On the other outer side it has the question to name 3 things with that particular letter such as turtle, tent, and tree and they are in a picture on the card with other onjects. When you open the card the word turtle appears and a little pop up picture of the turtle and the cards are the same way for each letter. This is great for toddlers to not only learn the letters but other words that start with said letter and an animal. My 2 year old loves these and they make learning so much fun for her because she loves the pop up and to guess the letter. The cards are smooth and colorful with a gloss finish. The box says that it is a choking hazard for children under 3 but I have had no issues especially since my 2 year old is past putting stuff in her mouth. Recommended for ages 3-6.
These cards are adorable. I bought these for my daughter when she was in preschool because she was having trouble with some of the letters. Her preschool teacher was worried that if she did not catch up that she would have to go to pre k. I got these and practiced with her 3-4 times a week. She quickly learned the letters that she was behind on and was able to go to regular kindergarten. The games on the back are fun and the pictures are cute. My daughter (1st grade now) does not need them any more but when I asked if we could give them to her cousin who is only 3 years old. she did not want to give them up. So I just bought a set for him for Christmas.
I thought I was a little bit bigger and heavier in regards to the material, but it perfectly works.
