This is not an official Minecraft product. The 5-star reviews here are false -- they're astroturfing. The book itself looks like it was a print-on-demand product from a low-quality startup peddling fake Minecraft products.The ways this book is a bad-quality knock-off:- Printed on cheap paper, including the low-res cover image (you can't tell from the thumbnail how bad it actually is)- Each page has 2 to 3 sentences or so- Images are low-res, black and white -- it's hard to see what some of them are supposed to be- Irregular margins- Large, ugly typeface- Largely useless contentIf your young child or little cousin isn't a good reader and is not very discerning when it comes to quality, this could be a cheap way to give them something vaguely Minecraft-related. Otherwise, don't bother.
My son has one of the real Scholastic Minecraft books. It's glossy, full color pages and step by step instructions are great.That's what I thought I was getting here.That is not the case. It looks like it was printed on someones home inkjet from a bad website.Do not buy. For 15 cents more, buy the real deal.
This book is a pale imitation of the four official manuals. Literally. The cover mimics the official manuals. The interior is a sparse black and white that's a half step above a photocopy. The information is just a collection of basic "recipes", about 75 in all out of thousands of possibilities. The page that reads, "You now possess the most insightful, powerful, and inspirational guide to the art of crafting in Minecraft ever created!" is a bald-faced lie. The attached photo shows a typical page.
VERY basic Minecraft book. This is advertised as Book #5 of the paperback series. If your child has EVER played Minecraft, even once, this book will be useless. Completely basic. Each page is about 4/5 blank and consists of just 3-4 sentences providing the definition of the MC items. Save your money. Your kiddo will be disappointed. A grownup would be annoyed because it's so basic.
Fake. Like someone who played minecraft for a couple of hours got ahold of a screenshot program and made an entire book in Microsoft Word circa 2001. Buy the real ones, they are much better.
terrible do not buy this!!! it is for one in black and white and not helpful at all. I bought it for a Christmas present only because the official one was out and was a terrible mistake. mostly says what you can do but does not tell you how to do it. Pretty much what you can find on Google if you type mine craft ideas. Again do not buy this!!!!!
This is a scam book. It is not the same series as the high-quality original Minecraft books. This book has only a few simple sentences per page in large-size font and the rest of the pages are blank. You can read the same content on dozens of web pages for Minecraft beginners in about 2 minutes.  should really remove this book from their selection immediately.
Pages are blank with just a sentence or 2. No pictures at all. This is probably defective, but I don't think pictures would even help this. Very wimpy and pretty much zero content. Son was very disappointed.
