My 7 1/2 year old son did an awesome magic show the night he got this book. It was so cute, we let him invite some family over the next night and he went all out- wore a suit and tie and had the show practiced and perfected. The money spent on the book was worth the awesome memories we had with his magic shows!

Nice tricks, something different from just reading while still getting my son to read voluntarily. It was encouraging to watch him read the instructions and then carry them out correctly. I can also recommend Beast Quest and Dare Quest books such as The Chinese Pirate: Dare Quest (Volume 1)

My 7 year old daughter has read through the entire Magic Tree House Series this summer and was excited to get "Hurry Up Houdini!" and this Magic Trick book when they were released. Most of the tricks she can perform with practice and occasional help. There are 32 different 'illusions' and they have great step-by-step instructions. It inspired her cousins and her to put together a magic show while on vacation this summer.Lots of fun!

This was purchased for a 2nd grader, who had been asking for it for quite a while. She's a big Magic Tree House fan. When I asked her for a title for the review, "Great tricks for beginners!" is what she suggested. The tricks are simple enough for her to understand on her own, and the supplies required for most of the tricks are things we already have around the house. She performed a variety of them as a birthday gift to me. :-) Which apparently was why she wanted the book. :) :)

My 6 year old grandson loves the Treehouse Series-read one about Houdini and wanted to try some magic. He loves the book-and the tricks are just right for him to perform.

A birthday gift for my nephew. He specifically requested it and started reading it in the car as he left his party.

arrived as expected. will read the book when I have completed buying the series

A gift, but my grandson loves these books!
