This is a great book to use to introduce younger babies to reading. I've been reading to my son since he was a few weeks old and this is one of the first books that he showed interest in. He's now five-months-old and absolutely loves this book.It has large simple pictures which are easy for younger babies to focus on. The flaps are very large (almost as big as the page) and sturdy (they're made of the same material as the rest of the pages as opposed to the flimsy paper flaps you see in some books).The book is set up as follows: The first page has a picture of a baby holding an object (e.g. a toy tractor). The next page has a picture of a stuffed animal (e.g. a sheep) that's covered up by a big picture of the object the baby was holding. You lift up the big picture to see the object underneath. The picture of the stuffed animal has a textured spot on it that you can feel (e.g. a soft fluffy spot on the sheep).
My son LOVES these books! The flaps are big so they are easy for him to get his fingers under. They're bright and colorful and educational as well. They are the best lift the flap books on the market in my opinion!
My son loved this book. We borrowed one from the library and he ripped it apart. We brought this to return to the library. Be careful, if your child loves to rip things apart, the borders on this book is more paperback than cardboard.
Fast shipping. I gave this book as a gift, and compared to other touch and feel books, this book does not have a lot of "feel" items. But it is a flap book, which is always interesting to children.
My son absolutely adores this book! He has Peekaboo Bedtime as well, but this is definitely his favorite. This is the book he constantly picks and his face lights up with the extremely clear pictures of the kids and farm animals. Highly recommended.
The book is cute. The pictures are vibrant, but the areas to touch and feel could be better. They are small areas and I feel like they just gave up in the feel department on the last page...its just shiny stars. But the price is not bad so I'm happy with it. My daughter enjoys it, and that's all that matters.
I love this book. I love the thickness of the flaps and the pages, and the illustrations are adorable! Also it has nice big patches of "animal fur" for my daughter to feel and large thick pages that don't seem to get damaged easily with a little light chewing lol ... i'd buy again :)
The flaps on this book are really more like centerfolds and are therefore easy for baby to lift. The touch-and-feel parts are nice. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is that there is a lot of white space and not so many pictures, and its a bit boring for my baby.
