I got this for my Hello Kitty fan's birthday and she is thrilled with the book and we read it often. The story is about Hello Kitty who is making preparations for her birthday party including baking with her mom, making a to-do list of what needs to be done for the party, making goodie bags, and decorating. I like that the story is relatable since these are things we do to get ready for my daughter's own party, so she enjoyed the story more because she could relate and even suggested other things Hello Kitty needed to do. Hello Kitty's upset because grandparents can't make it to the party since they are on vacation, but she gets a special birthday surprise at the end!The illustrations are very colorful and engaging and the story holds her short attention span. The book also comes with 13 stickers on the last page, hence the higher sticker price for a paperback book. If you have a Hello Kitty fan with a birthday coming up, this is a great book choice!
