This book is cute, my baby loves the Horton puppet, but it is very difficult to operate. The book is very short with just a few words on each page and doesn't have the catchy rhythm expected from Dr. Seuss. We read it to our 5 month old a few times, but it has already been placed on the shelf because it is so dull. I'd recommend Wet Pet Dry Pet (touch and feel) over this book.
Short little book! But was very inexpensive and the "Horton" is actually a little hand puppet! My one year Granddaughter is fascinated with the little trunk moving and the ears flapping.!! The story is short and sweet and perfect for little people with short attention spans!!
This is a really cute book and the puppet is of good quality. However it is very short, only three pages I think. Also it's a board book. I can't remember if that mentioned in the description. It's okay but it is annoying to read a book that's so short. You could read it in less then a minute but it'd recommended to read at least 15 a day to your baby. I'd rather read the Dr. Suess Beginner Books, at least they take several minutes to get through
This book is adorable. The elephant is actually a little puppet! You can wiggle his ears and twirl his trunk as well as move his mouth. It doesn't all rhyme like I was hoping, but it's still a pretty cute book. Kinda corny, but when you're reading to your baby it doesn't really matter. :)
not much to read in this book but my 1 yr old nephew loves it so far. the interactive hand puppet is a great feature and i find it much more effective for kids who really aren't old enough to read yet. i loved it so much i bought it for my other newborn nephew.
I'll admit, this book is pretty adorable and does get my small daughter's attention. However, Horton's stuffed body makes it a real challenge to turn pages and close the book. Horton is actually a puppet - with small holes in the back to make his trunk move - but honestly, he doesn't move much! I like the book, but wish it was executed just a bit better.
The book was really short, Like 3 pages short. The ears can move, the trunk can move as well. But not easily move both at the same time. My child did seem to care much for this as Curious George version of these books.
This is an adorable board book for your child. Horton is a classic Seuss character and this is a great little story with a Horton stuffed puppet. You can stick your finger in the back of the book and make Horton's trunk move! The book is great quality and so is the puppet.
