This is an amazing coloring book, all of the illistrations are very artistic. It contains 30 liflike reproductions of botanist Pierre-Joseph Redoute's paintings. It also includes miniature color reproductions of all of the drawings on the inside covers that give you an idea of the flowers' natural colorings. Each picture is accompanied by the flower's common name and botanical name. I have one copy of this coloring book that I refuse to color in, and I'll be ordering two more, one for my mom and one for me.
There are 30 pictures and they are nice. The inside cover has a color picture of each one.The downside is that the pages are printed on both sides. If you want to do any of these with watercolor pencils you would need to make copies.
bought these for my 86 yr old mother who likes to color to keep herself busy.he likes these books because they have colored pictures of what the flowerslook like colored in the back so she knows what color to color them.is the only place i can find these adult coloring books at a reasonable price.

My favorite thing about these books is that are good enough to frame when you done with the picture!Colored pencils work best on these books!!Relaxing coloring book for adults!!! The flowers are very nice pictures and large enough on each page to work on shading, etc. At the bottom of each page it shows the name of the flower. Colored pictures of each page are on the inside front and back covers to refer to. Very educational and my daughter who is almost 12, likes flowers and is artistic loves it. This was our favorite Dover flower coloring book.
Disappointing book. Images are printed on both sides of the pages so potentially a bleed-through problem if you use any moist medium such as markers, watercolors, paints, etc. This also cuts in half the number of images you will get out of this book.
I just purchased these Dover COloring Books for my mother and she loves them. The detail is out of this world and the variety of colors you can use are only limited by your inagination. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This coloring book titled Redoute Flowers has simple line drawings of 30 different prints. There are colored pictures of all 30 designs on the inside of the front and back covers. The designs look more suited for water color than coloring but no doubt if you had the type of colored pencils that can be used with water, you would not be disappointed. That being said, I still believe the prints make for a nice coloring book for all ages. I think these prints would be excellent for use in copying and using on clothing and accessories. I received my purchase on time and in excellent condition. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this seller.
