I received this book on my birthday as a way of expanding beyond my scope of realism and anime\manga style drawing. It shows the guidelines, details and proper utilization of features (which are indicated as sticky notes with the words YES and NO for correct and incorrect drawing respectively). It even points out the head-to-body ratio (how many "heads" tall).My biggest gripe however is that the older sisters of Ariel are mentioned in King Triton's intro blurb as his daughters, but no instructions are included, which leads you to assume that a blind-leading-blind assumption of copying partial instruction of Ariel and improvising the instructions to fit for the sisters. However, because of this omission of the six older sisters, I knocked off only 1 star as it did include other characters that would otherwise be forgotten, like Chef Louie, the ichthycidal maniac chef (ichthycidal = killer of fish) and every time I go out for sushi, I sing "Les Poissons" to its entirety.Overall, it should be helpful if you're not a fan of the 6 older sisters.
