I have always used Sierra Club calendars. They have enough room to write daily to do appts/items as well as beautiful pictures.In the past I waited until the mall kiosks started selling them for the Christmas holiday season. Then I found they were online via . I believe the cost is better on . And here it is in Sept...and I am already able to write in my 2015 scheduled appointments.It arrived boxed with bubble wrap and no damage. I am so pleased.Oh...and I save my calendars which has been very helpful when I need to look up some information on when I did what in what year in my past!LOVE THESE!
As in the past, a very nice wall calendar. The scenes selected are extraordinary, and the quality of the pages is, also. Plenty of room for the average user to enter notes or upcoming events. No bleed through to the next photo (or you can go out of your way to make that happen). This can, at least momentarily, take me away from the stresses of the workday, just by focusing on it from time to time.
Absolutely love this calendar. We buy one every year. The pictures are gorgeous and high quality. The calendar squares are large and provide plenty of room to detail your engagements. Highly recommend this calendar to anyone who loves nature.
What can you say about this calender - I have bought it for years, more than I like to think. We love the pictures and I love the size, not too big and not too small. I have kept weather and data on these for years. Of course, I continue on each day from the little squares to paper that I put in white 3" ring binders for my journals.
Bought this as a Xmas gift for my Mother. Every year she asks for this calendar and every year for the past 20+ years I have had to find it at a local bookstore until this year when I found it on ! My mother loves this calendar because she writes everyone's birthdays down and the boxes for each day on the month view are huge. I am glad to buy this calendar every year only if it makes Mom happy!
The Sierra Club publishes some of the most beautiful nature photographs that I've ever seen, and this calendar contains twelve different subjects, mainly scenic landscapes, but my favorite is January's Great Grey Owl flitting silently through the snow. I wish the calendar had more information about how particular photographs were taken, i.e. the equipment, aperture, shutter speed, etc.However, I'm more than willing to enjoy these photographs without knowing how they were taken. Each is a work of art.Sixteen-year-old, actor and Sierra Club youth ambassador, Nathan Gould has an essay called "Squawks, Screeches, and Tweets" on one page of the calendar, but is the only page devoted to text.The calendar is a perfect size for hanging on the wall, and the daily rectangles are large enough to fit in all of your appointments. Holidays and phases of the moon are squeezed in down toward the bottom of each appropriate rectangle.
I got this calendar by mistake when I tried to order the engagement calendar but thought I would keep it as I needed a wall calendar, too. I am unhappy with the size and darkness of the day-numbers. They are so faint and small that my old eyes cannot read them, even with glasses, at more than a couple of feet. If they wish to make a wall calendar the numbers need to be printed in a darker, or bolder, font so they can be read from anywhere in the room.
The pictures are very nice, but I have this on the wall about 12 feet from my desk and the dates are written so lightly, I can't tell which date is which. I liked the dark print and big boxes on the Greenpeace calendar much better but didn't want to get it this year because of the controversy. This just makes it hard for me when I look up and want to get a date quickly
