This is a darling bedtime book. Open it up and in soft blue tones, the endpapers show a parent and a child tucked in bed, reading a book. then, page by two-page spread, a soft dreamscape unfolds. As intriguing and non-sensical as any dream, the dreamscape unfolds into yellows and whites, signifying the morning light that 'comes gently in.' The back endpapers, in colors of yellow and blue,show an empty bed as well as some of the objects that were found in the dream poem.
Absolutely beautiful words and lovely art to match. Great book for a special birthday.
