Ok, so I've had this book for about 8 months, and finally got around to making one of the recipes. The pictures and ideas are all REALLY cute. My 8 yr. old step-daughter takes the book down and goes through it regularly. Part of the reason it took me so long to make the project we were eyeing is because some of the ingredients needed to be purchased at a craft store and not at the grocery store. The craft store didn't have everything we needed so I had to improvise a little. We made the owl brownies (picture posted above). They turned out to be really easy, even though it looked a little complicated from the picture. It ended up being fun for both of us, and makes me want to try more. Also - the frosting recipe was really good. One of the best chocolate frostings I've had.

Like my title. I bought this item for goddaughter. Her mother rarely, if ever, bakes western items and I know her daughter likes to take treats to school sometimes so I thought this was a nice book she could figure out herself. She spent Christmas day working out all the cupcakes she plans to bake. She loves the ideas for creating cupcake animals.

We got this as a Christmas present for our two girls (ages 7 and 9) who have been obsessed with cake pops. The instructions are clear and simple and there is at least one picture per page. They have no trouble reading it or following the instructions.

My daughter is super excited with baking cupcakes. I got this for her 10th birthday (along with a cupcake baking set ) This book is written well with lil girls in mind and the recipes don't seem too difficult. I love the pictures as well.

Looks a bit difficult for a "first" cupcake decorating book. I can see my kids getting frustrated that their creations are not turning out like the professional decorated pictures.

I gave this to my niece for her 9th birthday but I may need to borrow it. There were some really good cake decorating ideas I'd like to look at more.

My Granddaughter loves backing and decorating cupcakes, that is one of the things that we try to let her do whenever she is at our house.

This is WAY more advanced for a FIRST cupcake decorating cookbook. Plus the ingredients for the recipes?? Every single one calls for Castor sugar. No thanks. Not going through all that trouble for baking with my kids.
