My son is 6 and in Kindergarten. When they started counting coins in class I got this book from the library. To my surprise he was very interested in the idea of coin collecting. We went through his coins and sorted them, counted them and looked for a few special coins. It was fun and I think he learned a lot.
Great hardcover book, very sturdy. My son's 1st grade class is learning about coins, so he really enjoyed this book. It shows all of the coins and a dollar bill. It also gives background information about the features on the coin.
I bought this book for may 7 year old grandson who is very interested in money. He really liked learning about the history of money, and is busy collecting the state coins.
This book was a gift to my granddaughter. We are going to incorporate it into her homeschooling.
