This folder is just right for my nieces and nephews. I have been saving the Statehood coins from 1999 to now, and I have been looking for the right folder to put them in for the kids. "I found it". The folders have only the "D" slots so the little ones want get mixed up with the "P" slots like my son and I did in his book. I like fact that they can read all about the coins and put the coins in that same folder. I've been puting up coins for 12 kids. We like the fact that the American Flag is on the front of the cover and the cover is colorful, which makes the kids love it. The coins are hard to put in all of the folders, but we like it because we know the coins will not fall out when the kids handle the folders. I have been looking for coin folders for about 2 years now. It seems like they have fallen off the edge of the earth, along with their supplies. If you can't get to the internet, you are out of luck. Put the word out there for the poor people that want do better by their kids and give them something better to do. THANK YOU.
The quarters are very difficult to fit in the folder. I would look for a different one to use.
I just wanted a quarter that would fit each state, regardless of mint location which this folder does. However, I found this folder to be of poor quality. The first two pages fit the quarters fine, but I could not get the quarters to fit in the later coin slots (2007-2008).I just bought the Littleton quarter folder because of the excellent reviews I saw online and I'm very pleased with the purchase - The quarters fit great in the slots and the book cost less than this one. I threw out this folder.
Since I'm not a hard-core coin collector, I like the fact that this folder only has one space per state (i.e., not one space for each mint). However, I found it very difficult to insert the quarters into the slots so that they would stay put.
The holes are way to difficult to fit in quarters. The booklet looks very cheap. The cover design is different from what you see here. The interior looks boring and ugly.Very, very disappointed.
I ordered Official Whitman Statehood Quarters Folder: Complete 50 State Set 1999-2008 to my friend as a gift. She said this is a junk and cheating product. This is because its design is ugly and inside has only 40 slots which is 1999-2006. And I agree with her.
It's okay, for a little more money you can get a much nicer and larger book that fits the coins better and has a much better overall feel for the collection. Recommended for kids or for those who are looking for a Quarter collection bargain. If you are willing to dish out a little more I would recommend the more expensive but nicer collection books.
My grandkids and I enjoyed many hours of "inspecting" all of our change and filling these books with quarters from each state and territory. They even set up a barter system to make up for a lack of money and a need to collect all the required quarters, so it also became a teaching device in the process. It also gave me an opportunity to tell my grandkids of my own personal experiences along the way, because I have had the privilege of visiting 45 of our 50 wonderful states.
