I thought -- for eight dollars - that I was getting a book. This is more like a pamphlet, its jsut a few short pages, and its mainly all varieties on the basic box stitch. I was looking for a way for my son to learn the more complicated stitches without spending hours on you tube but this was a disappointment.
If you ever had a doubt about being able to do lace projects, you now have no excuse to join in the fun and make things that are beautiful and practical. I have just finished making 5 key lanyards for my wife's Oxygen Main Valve Keys. The keys will never get lost or misplaced again. The company that replaces the empty Oxygen Tanks has requested a sample, which I sent.The 5 have been a labor of love and the sample has been a joy as I made it a slightly more complicated type.
I thought that I was buying a craft kit with instructions. Instead, I got just a book, so I had to spend more money buying plastic laces, beads, key rings and hooks. I believe that I could have gotten the same instructions and pictures for free on the internet. Disappointed.
The book was overall very good but it is really for beginners because the diagrams are just so easy to follow

I thought this book came with plastic bands so that someone could practice, but it did not. I bought it for my nephew and he was upset when he received it because there were no laces. His mom had to buy a pack of bands so that he could actually make things.
The book was exactly what I needed. The illustrations and text are clear.
