These are wonderful paper dolls, the old fashioned kind (not magnetic) that never go out of style. Clothing based on Addy's outfits in theAmerican Girl stories but can be enjoyed by children who aren't familiar with AG. Little notes about Addy's world add to the fun and givehistorical context.
I purchased 2 hard back Addy books for a young nine year old girl as a Christmas gift. I was quite familar with the American Girl and the "Addy" books and am a firm believer that reading at a young age is essential. I purchased book #i (Meet Addie) and book #3 (Christmas Surprise). Book #2 was not in stock. I will encourage the child's mother to continue purchasing the series of novels and the paper doll clothing. It is absolutely enjoyable reading.
I remember having this same doll as a young child. Although my daughter didn't enjoy it, I found pleasure in it! Such a great memory from my childhood. Lots of cutting, but it was worth it!
