This model has a roof that swings open and you can view the inside, revealing a statue of Athena. Very easy to make. The pages are printed on both sides and in vivid colors. The directions are very clear. Would recommend this to anyone teaching ancient Greece.
This is a time-consuming project....but the end result is well worth it! The model is made of a heavy-gauge, glossy paper that folds well and has a substantial feel without being too heavy, and has good color and detail on it. It is important to read through the instructions first before starting assembly. There is a LOT of cutting, folding and glueing involved, especially with the many columns. I am an adult, and it took me approximately ten hours to construct. The roof remains attached but can be opened (like the lid of a box) to reveal the interior of the temple, which has several chambers and nice detail such as the statute of Athena. Very nice model with good detail.
A very beautiful model of a Greek temple. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the amount of time and focus it takes to build this. Not a craft to be done with small children! But if you have the patience to do it, it's worth it.
This took me 14hours to Finnish ! You have to follow the instructions throulgy & did it for a project for my world history class and I had to get help if your great with crafts & excellent folder and cutter then this for you , but if not you will need a partner it is very time consuming & crittical . I recommend reading the instructions over first & cutting it out piece by piece not all at once . But overall it is amazing . I messed up a lot because the instructions aren't easy but it still looks great!
I ordered this for a school project for my son. It was fairly complicated to put together, way too difficult for the average 6th grader. It took the two of us about 7 hours to complete the project. The thing that made me the most angry was the $9.95 price stamped on the back cover, I paid $45.00. I would have returned it but the project was due in a couple of days. This was a rip off.
