I ordered Mr. Bach Comes to Call for my piano studio. I used the teacher notes to supplement the learning at a group class for my students. The information in the notes was exceptionally thorough and interesting. The activities for the students really reinforced the learning. It was overall a better product than I expected.
Mr. Bach Comes To Call CD is a fascinating account of Bach's life story, his great trials and tremendous acclaim, his family life and court experiences, told as if by Mr. Bach himself. The verbal story is beautifully interwoven with Bach's best-loved music. The tale begins with a little girl resisting practicing the piano, and when Mr. Bach comes to call she realizes how valuable music it is and how delightful to practice it. This is a marvelous CD for children of all ages as well as adults; however, the accent in Bach's voice is difficult to understand and will take more than one listening, but you'll enjoy each time more and more
My daughter loves this CD. We enjoy good music (like Raffi and quality real music), so she likes this CD because it is good music and because she plays piano.I highly recommend this for any early elementary school age child, especially if she plays piano.This CD won a Parents Choice Award of some kind. It says so on the label. I also recommend it. I hear the Mozart CD is good, too.
Have been listening to the CD again and again, my six-year old son loves it.
