This is a hard-cover book with an Elmo hand-puppet sticking up through of the middle of it. You put your fingers into Elmo's arms and head to make him come to life standing in the middle of the book. Each page has a verse of When You're Happy and You Know It. As you page through the book, you help Elmo clap his hands, scratch his nose and rub his tummy while you sing along. Elmo is furry and red and so cute. My 6-month-old baby loves this book. Her 3-yr-old brother can even read it to her using the hand puppet and following along with the pictures. Adorable entertainment!

This book was so cute at the local *Mart! I was in the children's book aisle and my eyes zoomed right in. My two year old DD (Dear Daughter) loves Elmo. And she is really into songs now. I thought this would be perfect for Christmas! I had to write a review. Some things you just don't notice online. Sometimes you just have to look around at the store, but hopefully this review will convince you!The review below mine is a A++++ description of the book.

What a wonderful concept! Elmo, the puppet, is placed at the center of this book so that the reader can control Elmo's mouth and hands while having Elmo sing, "If You're Happy and You Know It." This well known song has a couple of different lyrics such as, "If you're itchy and you know it scratch your nose." Elmo is able to act out all of the lyrics and it becomes great fun for your child. My toddler adores this book. Highly recommended.

I bought this book for a friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I like how it has both a puppet/stuffed animal and a book that the child can follow along and interact with. My only complaint is that the book is small, which does make it good for travel, but kind of hard to fit your hand inside the Elmo stuffed animal. All in all this is an enjoyable book for babies and toddlers.

My 1-year old granddaughter loves this puppet book. She looks at the pages and laughs when I make Elmo's arms move. She keeps looking around the back to see where Elmo is... she can't quite figure out how he manages to move and wave to her. But she loves looking at it and holding it. I highly recommend this puppet book for any toddler who likes Sesame Street characters.I wish they made one with Cookie Monster, Burt/Ernie, Big Bird and all the others. If they made more of these I would buy one of each character for her.

Little one (12 mo) loves the puppet, and my nephew (3 yo) still thinks the puppet and book are hilarious. Its hard to get the fingers in the head portion of Elmo and also difficult to move the head very much once you manage to get your fingers in there

We have so much fun with this book! My son loves when I make the Elmo puppet, (yea it's Elmo, I think, just looks pink in the photo on the site), pinch his nose or give him a kiss! It has tons of sesame street characters in it even the older school ones, like the big dog, I forget his name, the honkers and the two headed monster, plus tons of others! Really cute, fun little board book!

I bought this book for my 2 year old and 6 month old and they both love it. We sing the song that is in the book but I also use the puppet to play with the kids. The arms look really cute when they move and I can even pick things up for the kids with them. Initially I thought I should have just bought a puppet so I don't have to hold the book too, but my kids like the book pictures and I can actually use the book as a stand for the puppet. This is well-made and has already been used a lot. I would recommend this product for sure.
