a couple monthes ago my singing teacher sold me her extra copy of this songbook and ever since then I've been doing almost nothing except for songs from this book! I've done "Castle on a Cloud" "I Won't Grow Up" etc.. I highly recomend this book!
The book had some songs not the same as the brand new book my student got. Very disappointed that this was not clearly made known before buying what I thought would be the same as that of my students.
Great arrangements for intermediate pianists. I am planning on using this book for a homeschool children's choir I conduct. I only wish it had more songs! I like the selection, but would have loved to have a few more selections from Oliver! and Peter Pan. Other than that, I'm very pleased with what *is* there.
This collection has some great pieces for developing voices to use along with art songs for beginning students. Most of the music is geared to the subject level of young singers. As with most Broadway songs, the range is rather low and doesn't encourage growth in range, but just keeps the singers engaged and happy. Good for some choreography.
If you have a child who like to sing solos and will sing appropriate songs for the development of the voice, these are amazing! Great arrangements
